Frequently Asked Questions about 3D printing

3D printing is a hugely disruptive technology that is changing the face of rapid prototyping.  The process involves creating a 3D object from a digital file by using a printer nozzle that lays down layers of materials until an entire object is formed.

The technology allows designers and inventors to create practically any geographic shape you can imagine.

At Nano Creations, we have a number of different 3D printers that can print anything from the size of a small coin to an object up to 1,200 x 600 x 600 mm. These printers also use a range of filaments and resins depending on the specifications of the final product.

Our large format printer is a Modix   using FFF (fused filament fabrication) printing technology. The BIG-120X V3 printer is capable of printing 1200 x 600 x 600mm prints using a variety of filaments.

The list of objects able to be 3D printed is only limited by your imagination.  3D printing can be used in many different industries and areas to manufacture specialised components, models and end use parts.
